AusChildSupport was built by Sam, a former child support officer with Services Australia, where he spent roughly three years working directly with the assessment process. Sam also founded The Support Index, a US child support calculator platform.

That background shapes everything about how the site is built — plain English explanations, full breakdowns showing how each estimate is calculated across all 6 formulas, personalised educational video content, and a referral to legal help when the facts move beyond an ordinary formula case.

Why I Built This

Since launching in 2025, I've helped over 1,000 Australian parents understand their child support obligations using the six official Services Australia formulas. I'm committed to transparency, accuracy, and pointing parents toward qualified legal help when they need it.
